Sophia Kennedy's self-titled album was a watershed moment for both the American-born avant pop artist and Pampa Records. On Being Special, Sophia continues to examine the art of left-field song-crafting. The center of "Being Special" is it's trio of percussive piano riff, strings, and handclaps, which warms the heart with a notable throwback cinematic feel. "Afraid", originally written by Nico, hints at a sparse DIY affair in Kennedy's version, but the song ingeniously matures in small increments. The quirky "Apple In The Basket" embodies a whirling circus carousel, enhanced by staccato organ chords and rhyming word couplets.

Lovely shimmer, but lingering scent and uneven mist are disappointing

I love the shimmer in this. And I love that there is spf. But the spray nozzle doesn't provide a fine mist, it's more like a splatter so it's hard to apply evenly. There is also a lingering scent that I find a little overwhelming to have directly on my face. I want to love it, but I'm giving it 3 stars for those issues.

Glitter

The ingredient list checks out as a sunscreen, but for SPF 50, it seemed too watery from my observation. It was easy to apply because it’s light and watery, but I doubt it’s as effective as it should be. This glowing and lightweight sunscreen also has a faint watermelon like scent, and all those nice oil based ingredients moisturized my skin well. The spray is convenient and easy to use, and I like that about it. However, I am just not a big fan of glittery stuff. Whether it’s on a Christmas card or on my skin, whether I like it or not, it will end up being eaten or breathed in one way or another. Overall, this is an okay product, and I really wish it didn’t have glitter in it.
