These films explore a range of complex topics in vivid and accessible ways, from space travel and laser technology to genetic engineering, global warming, and the consequences of nuclear weaponry. Though actual scientific lab work might not be as exciting, science fiction is an engaging yet powerful way for a wide audience to explore some of the most pressing issues and ideas of our time. In this book, a scientist and dedicated film enthusiast discusses the portrayal of science in more than one hundred films, including science fiction, scientific biographies, and documentaries. Beginning with early films like Voyage to the Moon and Metropolis and concluding with more recent offerings like The Matrix, War of the Worlds, A Beautiful Mind, and An Inconvenient Truth, Sidney Perkowitz questions how much faith we can put into Hollywood's depiction of scientists and their work; how accurately these films capture scientific fact and theory; whether cataclysms like our collision with a comet can actually happen; and to what extent these films influence public opinion about science and the future. Weird garbage
Size: 12 Long, Color: Iced Blue Light Wash
Very strange fit, saw the reviews about weird fit but so many others said great fit so that's on me. Got them for under 10 bucks so hard to complain..... however..... Got 12 Long. They are at least a size too big but I generally do that to accommodate shrinking especially length. On what planet these would be considered long I dunno. I'm only 5'8". If you pull them up to where crotch is not sagging, barely to my ankles. Almost long enough if you want the crotch to droop several inches. Fit loose but comfortable in butt and thighs. The waist however is about 4 inches too big and gaps horribly. Almost like waist is actually wider than hips. Strange. Not skinny cut except for right at ankle. The left leg inseam is cut horribly crooked and runs down almost front of leg so altering them is not worth the trouble. They are fairly thick and do stretch, like the denim wash very much. So disappointed. So the great deal I thought I was getting was garbage . Should have know for that price they were unloading their trash

Perfect fit for 5'10
Size: 10 Long, Color: White
White jeans size 10 long fit perfectly. Im 5'10 130 pounds
Always have trouble with length and overall fit. These were on sale for less than 11$! Material has some stretch, not too much. I'm going to hang to dry don't want any shrinkage. Fit is less tight than an earlier version of these jeans.

Perfect buy!

This white denim jacket came today, and finally I bought the perfect jacket! It's actual denim, heavy but not too bulky.
It fits perfectly, I bought a large, it's white not off white, and it is EXACTLY what I was looking for!
I had to wait a week or two but it is definitely worth the wait! Beautiful jacket, well made and at a decent price!

Love denim and tired of cropped jackets?
Fit Type: Oversized, Size: Large, Color: Medium Blue Vintage
I like this a lot, it was what I was looking for as far as I'm so over everything you buy these days is cropped. Cropped styles are great, but are kind of getting old for some things in my opinion. The jacket is big as far as how it fits. I am 5'8" about 180 and I wish I would have got a medium, I got a large.
The large is big and roomy enough that I could even wear ear a thick hoodie under it if I wanted to. However, the length is good as what I was looking for. The upper arms are large. However, this is a great quality denim jacket. Nice and thick, sturdy material (which I wanted).
It's also at a great, competitive low price even if it's not on sale. Don't believe me, go ahead and search jean jackets. You'll see a ton, but I looked too and the quality did not look as good as this and plus the other jackets were a lot more for a lot less. If you're looking for a longer jean jacket, I highly recommend this.
I'd say just think seriously about sizing down 1... even maybe 2 sizes. I would have gotten an XL before I read the other reviews. They recommended to size down, and after getting my jacket I could have sized down to a medium. I'm still happy with it and this is a jacket that is stitched well and will last a very long time.
As always though, that's just my 2 cents. :)

Nice quality, shape not for me

This was just too boxy for my body. Material was nice, quality jean material. Color was true to image. It was a little stiff but as you would expect with nice, new and unwashed denim.
