MADE IN USA TITANIUM TI THORNS

What is the most minimal tool that you would carry to protect your and others' lives?  Not the best tool, not the most sophisticated or effective tool, but the minimum tool?

That was the design directive behind the Ti Thorns, and we think we hit pretty close to the mark.

Inspired by the truly nasty thorns found in the savannah and some rainforests, these are all titanium and frighteningly pointy.  We knew we were onto something when we were sanding a prototype and (stupidly and accidentally) jammed almost 1/2" of one through our finger with almost no effort, and certainly no intention.

Here are the specs:

  • Overall Length (OAL) approximately 4" with 1.25" hemp wrapped grip
  • 0.06" thick Grade 5 Titanium
  • Carbidized tip on back side
  • POINTY but not sharp; this is a thrusting/poking tool, not a cutting tool
  • Hemp wrap and finger loop (NOT epoxied... see below for why)
  • Black tube sheath (ala @flc_knives) with Kevlar static line

Keep in mind that titanium is NON-MAGNETIC, but it IS METALLIC.  Some metal detectors can pick up titanium, so this is not a 100% non-permissive environment (NPE) tool.  Titanium is also somewhat conductive, so don't stick it in a light socket.

While hemp + epoxy wrap is incredible for grip, we wanted to leave you with the option to remove the wrap easily if there was a need to mount it into a larger handle.  Two pin/wrap/mounting holes are in the small handle under the wrap to help with this purpose.

Designed and Manufactured in USA at the CPG worQshop from USA-made and cut Grade 5 Titanium.  As a handmade product, certain variances will occur.

 Pretty good suit
I am pleasantly impressed with the quality of the suit. Out-of-the-box, this suit fits me nearly perfectly and I may only have to do minimal alterations. I usually wear a size medium and the jacket fits me perfectly in the shoulder area. In dress shirt sizing, I usually buy a 15-15 1/2 x 34-35 sleeve length. The sleeves in this suit fit me perfectly, and the buttons are high enough so one can take the sleeves in a little over an inch, making the sleeves an inch shorter. This suit is a slim fit suit, yet the suit hangs loosely around the stomach area. Tightening up the stomach area is an easy alteration, and I may just move the button an inch to give me the desirable V-shaped look. Talking about buttons, the suit is only a single button jacket, and the cut is like a two button jacket. Why they make single button jackets is beyond me, but they include a second button if one wants to alter the jacket into a two button jacket. I understand the decision to make midsection a little loose as many people to have a belly. Yet this suit is slim fit, and if one wants the tailored look, one would have to move the button in or alter the jacket a bit. My typical pan size is 32x32 and these pants fit fine. The legs may be an inch long, so I would say these medium pants are 32x33. There is some extra fabric so one can let out another inch, and one can shorten the pants as much as they like. The fabric feels alright for a polyester suit.  Overall, this is a really nice suit, but does not have the complete tailored look like I get with some other designer slim fit suits. They designed this suit for someone with a little belly as well.

costume and professional
This is a fun suit and would be amusing to wear to a date. It screams out pompous in a delightful way. I like the fit overall and while not perfect it wears well enough. Best of all is that I can dance in it. I attached some media so that you can get a crystal clear idea about what this suits appearance is. The bottomline is that most people will find this suit playful and maybe even a bit classy.

Got these for a wedding and am pretty impressed
I was invited to a wedding and needed a white suit. I saw this linen suite and couldn't pass it up, especially for the price. When the suit came in, I was very happy with the fit and feel of both the suit and pants. The material feels like decent quality and on par with what I would expect, given the price. So if you are going to an event or simply want an extra suit then check this out, you may be surprised like I was.

Smooth Look
I wore this to an outside wedding and it looked great and I had multiple people compliment me on the suit. It is made of linen so it is a little more casual and comfy than regular suits and works well in the summer or for outdoor events. I am 5'8" and 160lbs and the small fits me well. I would say for the jacket you want it to be a few inches bigger than your actual chest measurement and then choose the correct size for your pant waist.
