In the morning, we witness the waking of the animals and the little ones that went to sleep in the other book. But the owlets that spent the entire night flying are tired when the sun rises! The cockerel wakes the chickens, the dog pricks up its ears, barks and... The children wake up full of energy. In the evening, whilst the weasels and the badgers come out to eat and the owls teach their owlets to fly silently, the children are getting ready for bed and the adults are reading them stories.
The quality of this book stems from the beauty of the pictures, but also the presentation which jumps from night to day and day to night making it dynamic to read and easy to share.

Un livre d'Anne Crausaz.

Anne Crausaz a créé deux petits livres tout en carton qui se répondent, se suivent ou se lisent seuls. À Et le soir quand la nuit tombe répond Et le matin quand le jour se lève.
Sur 16 pages, nous voyons le réveil des animaux et des petits d'homme que nous avons vu s'endormir dans le livre jumeau. Mais les petites chouettes, qui ont passé la nuit à voler, sont fatiguées quand le jour se lève ! Le coq réveille les poules, le chien dresse les oreilles, aboie et... les enfants se réveillent en pleine forme pour la journée qui commence... La qualité de ce petit livre tient à sa justesse et sa beauté graphique, mais aussi à l'intelligence toute simple des images et des petits personnages qui rebondissent de la nuit au jour et du jour à la nuit, créant une lecture dynamique et facile à partager.
